Heart crafting? Heart hearts? Then this blog post is for you. Help set the mood and get your home into the Valentine’s Day spirit with these adorable and simple crafts! Don’t worry, they aren’t that hard to make. Anyone with a heart can make a heart!
1. Melt Your Heart
Shine a few love-inspired hues into your home with these DIY translucent hearts. All you need is crayons, wax paper, string and an iron. Oh yeah, and a window!
2. Not Just for Kissing
Put that lipstick to work with this framed craft! It makes for a perfect accent piece for a side table or mantel. P.S. coloring outside the lines is encouraged!
3. Love Your Table
Give your table some love by protecting it with these cute coasters. Whether you want to cut your own coasters out of wood, or simply upcycle some old ones that have been sitting in the back of your kitchen drawers, just add paint and there you go!
4. Heart on a String
Totally nail your DIY crafting with this bold heart art! Hammer in the heart and thread string from nail to nail. Keep it classic with this gold and pink combo, or choose whatever colors work best with your scheme.
5. Wrapped in Love
This yarn DIY is way easier than you think! Pick up L O V E cardboard letters at your local crafting store (these ones were $1.99 each from JoAnn’s) and some yarn and get wrapping!
6. Framed Kiss
Recognize the song lyrics on this cute piece of art? They’re from the classic romcom, “Sleepless in Seattle,” (which makes for a perfect V-Day flick!). Print out the quote, glue on some heart-shaped ribbon and stick it in a frame.
7. Cute as a Button
Buttons + Burlap + Canvas + Me + You (and don’t forget the glue!). Hit up your local Goodwill and score yourself a used canvas. Go with the black and white painted stripes or add a pop of color. Either way, this button art will surely add some heart to the room!
Bonus: Fill a glass jar with some candy conversation hearts to add a simple pop of color and cuteness to any tabletop.
