Consider not only your Sun sign, but your Moon and Rising too, especially your Moon sign because the Moon represents your home.
Fire signs – Aries, Leo, Sagittarius: You have a special connection with the fire element. Include a fire feature like a fireplace or fire pit in the backyard. A woodstove. When I think of fire signs, I picture turquoise with pops of beautiful red, hot pink, yellows, oranges.
Air signs – Gemini, Libra, Aquarius: Your connection is with air. Air quality is everything– make sure to change those AC filters on schedule! Windows that open are a must. Decorate your house with tall plants, fans, things that hang from the ceiling, and plenty of bookcases.
Earth signs – Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn: You resonate with the earth element– which means you desire a comfortable nest above all. Incorporate brick work and natural features into your home. Decorate with stone, plants, and earth tones like rich greens, blues, browns, and grays.
Water signs – Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces: Water signs resonate with the water element. Try to bring that into your home as much as possible with a fountain, fish bowl, pond, pool, or other water feature. A great bathtub or shower is a must. Decorate with cool shades of blue, green, silver, and grey. – Molly Gauthier, Molly Astrology
Look to your Moon sign
Your Moon in Aries home should be spartan, almost military in its efficiency. Small is fine, as long as everything you need is easy to get to and put away. It’s not a nest so much as a landing pad for you between activities. Have a place to store your sports stuff.
Your Moon in Taurus home is classically cozy with warm colors and furniture that invites you to sink in. Feature lots of gorgeous wood. Also you’ll want to have your pets be comfortable too, so have some land with your home so you can enjoy nature.
Your Moon in Gemini home should have a library for all the books you want to read. Because you love information, high-speed internet is a must and a great computer setup is essential. Your home must be stimulating, but your bedroom should invite you to rest.
Your Moon in Cancer home is all about family. Have a large, open dining area that connects with the kitchen so you can watch your kids while you cook. Also a lot of bedrooms for your growing family and a large table for seating extended family members.
Your Moon in Leo home must be your palace. You’ll want to put the stamp of your own creativity on it by adding color and decor items that you love. Expect your home to have high ceilings and a sense of the grand–no little boxes for you.
Speaking of little boxes, your Moon in Virgo home should be well organized, with a place for everything. A convenient laundry area and lots of storage are essential. Also the surfaces should be fresh and new, so that cleaning them is gratifying and easily yields results.
Your Moon in Libra home must be characterized by beauty because you’ll entertain here. Lovely colors that suit the mood you want in each room and fine design principles must appear everywhere. Each piece should reflect the whole and whisper, “life is beautiful.”
Your Moon in Scorpio home must feel absolutely safe. This might be reflected in the neighborhood you live in or the home itself, but the feeling of “haven” must absolutely be present. Fill your home with rich, saturated colors and own it thoroughly as your fortress.
Your Moon in Sagittarius home might well be an RV or a place to keep your suitcase in between trips. If you are to be content in just one place, let it have grand views and lots of light and air. Also a mortgage that’s easy to pay off. You must feel free in your home.
Your Moon in Capricorn home must soothe you despite your tendency to believe that life is, and must be, hard work. Your home should be a deeply nurturing place that invites you to put your feet up and take your mind off work completely. I’m talking deeply cozy.
Your Moon in Aquarius home will no doubt be eccentric and that’s the way you like it. Have large spaces for community gatherings and put out some downright curious conversation pieces. A prominent bookshelf displaying the ideas you’ve absorbed would also work.
Your Moon in Pisces home must be a place where you can safely melt down into mush at the end of the day. It’s tiring to be an empath, so home must be a retreat where you don’t have to think about anyone but yourself. And it should be near a large body of water. – Jamie Kahl Miller, certified professional astrologer, Pandora Astrology

Look to Vastu Astrology, the predecessor to Feng Shui, inspires progressive architects and interior designers world-wide to address home construction, foundation layouts, and interior location of home furnishings to specific patterns, including north, south, east, west directional placement. For a homeowner’s personal astrological touch to their living space, I’d recommend either tile or stained glass work of the zodiac within the home interior entrance or foyer area, or a painting or classical print of the individual’s Moon sign hanging along the entrance wall.
Our perception of the world around us is really based upon the Moon placement in our birth chart, consequently, this will influence our taste and preference of home decor as well. For example, if someone has their Moon in the sign of Scorpio, the individual will be drawn to a living space reminiscent of Gryffindor’s common room. On the other hand, if someone has a strong Pisces or Taurus influence, they will lean toward home interior designs of Rivendell from Lord of the Rings. Virgos will be more simplistic in style, yet very clean and tidy. Strong Leo’s will gravitate to palatial or baroque decor. – Mark Alexander, Spirit of Astrology
