My wife reached out to Redfin in early May and Mark Morris ended up being our assigned agent and he was very experienced of 10 years. He went over the process, commissions per party, closing costs and how much to list the house. He pretty much gave us some advice and we went with it. We liked Mark a lot that we decided to go with him and the best part is we did not have to interview other agents as the recommended was to go with 3. We were surprised how fast things move as our house was ready to go to market within a week. They did a lot of the work, but be prepare to sign a lot of paper work and get a lot of documents for prework. Mark commits to something that he does not have a clue. I have mentioned from day 1 that I live outside of US so I would need help closing remotely. He said that notary would be coming to my place and get it notarized but that was not the case, the title company also does not have a clue with the process of closing a home when a seller is not in the US. I had to figure out the complete process, spend over $1000 to get the documents notarized and waste 3 weeks of my time (originally we were supposed to close on April 13th but due to delays in the process and wrong commitment by Mark we closed the home on May10).
