About this home
If you are looking for space to work, create, and be at one with the land, you have just found it. Set on nearly three usable acres in the peaceful countryside of Shandon, this charming ranch property offers multiple shops, two pastures, and a strong-producing well (23+ GPM for four hours). The inviting ranch-style home sits surrounded by open sky and rolling country views, creating a peaceful and private setting. The updated kitchen, semi-open layout, and large backyard create the perfect space to entertain and spend time with loved ones. Evenings here are what memories are made of—open skies overhead, room to breathe, and space to enjoy the kind of country living that’s getting harder to find. The land is thoughtfully set up for animals or agricultural use. The property is fully fenced with durable oil pipe fencing, and it includes two fenced pastures (~¾ acre & ~½ acre respectively), giving animals room to roam while keeping management simple and efficient. The shop near the house is ~22' x 30' and is what most folks hope for when they start searching for their “forever” home. Two sliding doors, 240V power, and plenty of space for tools or toys. Venture a little further from the house and you’ll find the massive ~40'x 60' main shop—a serious shop. A shop that means business. The kind of shop that makes folks say, “Now that’s a shop!” Equipped with its own electrical meter and two large roll-up doors, this shop offers incredible flexibility for equipment, hobbies, a home business, or serious projects. (Or maybe an "barndomansion?") In addition to the two shops, there is covered RV parking and hookups, a clean and functional shipping container for storage, as well as a three-sided metal storage building with a concrete floor—an ideal covered space for vehicles, trailers, ranch equipment, or hay storage. The outbuildings here are exceptional. Whether you're looking for a country homestead, a place to run a small operation, or simply room to spread out and enjoy the quiet of rural living, this versatile Shandon property offers an exceptional combination of water, infrastructure, and usable land—all anchored by a charming ranch home ready to welcome its next chapter. Are you ready for that next chapter to be yours?
The purpose of this Section is to establish a set of regulations applicable to the division of land within the Agriculture land use category. In addition to complying with the standards set forth in this Section and all applicable policies of the general plan, proposed land divisions shall be specifically evaluated for consistency with the policies of the Agriculture and Open Space Element as follows: Agricultural land divisions. Where a division of agricultural lands is proposed, a cluster division where homes are clustered in a compact manner which reduces the agricultural/residential interface, is an alternative to a conventional lot split land division.; Where a division is proposed, the proposed parcels should be of adequate size and design to ensure the long term protection of agricultural resources.; Minimum parcel size criteria for the division of Agricultural lands. Minimum parcel sizes for the proposed division of land designated Agriculture shall be based upon either the existing or potential use of the land for cropland and grazing.; Discretionary approval. The approval of a land division is discretionary and a parcel size larger than the minimum designated in the following Subsections may be required to ensure agricultural capability in accordance with the provisions of the adopted Agriculture and Open Space Element of the general plan.
