73.07 ACRES BELOW ANTOR? PEAK | HUNTING | PUBLIC LAND | OFF-GRID POTENTIAL | MINERAL RIGHTS If you're looking for a true Colorado backcountry property where hunting, recreation, privacy, and off-grid living potential come together, this 73.07-acre mining claim below Antora Peak deserves a serious look. Located in Saguache County, Colorado and surrounded by public land, this rugged and diverse property offers direct, end of the road access, incredible mountain views, varied terrain, and a setting that puts you right in the heart of Colorado's high country. The property begins above tree line, with gently sloping terrain and expansive views across the surrounding mountains. As the land drops in elevation, it transitions into timber, creating a diverse landscape that offers excellent habitat and cover for wildlife. The property is located in GMU 681, providing opportunities to pursue elk, deer, and bear in a remote mountain environment. For the recreational buyer, the possibilities are extensive. A road provides direct access onto the property, continuing through the parcel and eventually reaching the lower portion where it terminates at a large, relatively flat site. This area could provide an intriguing location for a future basecamp, hunting camp, recreational setup, or other off-grid improvements, subject to county regulations, permitting, access requirements, and applicable land-use restrictions. The property's location and surrounding public land make this an especially appealing opportunity for someone who wants more than just acreage. Step outside your door and you're surrounded by the kind of Colorado landscape that draws hunters, hikers, prospectors, photographers, wildlife enthusiasts, and backcountry adventurers from around the country. There is also a fascinating piece of Colorado mining history here. Historic mining activity has taken place on the property, and flower gold ore has reportedly been extracted from the claim. The mineral rights are attached to the property, giving the buyer an additional recreational and prospecting component that most hunting and mountain properties simply don't offer. The property also contains clay ore that has reportedly been associated with various purported healing benefits; these claims have not been independently verified and any use should be undertaken entirely at the buyer's own risk. Near the entrance are old cabins, adding character and a tangible connection to the property's historic past. Whether viewed as remnants of the area's mining heritage or simply another unique feature of the property, they immediately give this parcel a sense of history. With 73.07 acres, direct road access, mountain views, timber, high-country terrain, public land surrounding the property, hunting opportunities, and off-grid potential, this is a property built for someone who wants to get away from the ordinary. And then there's the bonus: gold and mineral rights. Opportunities to own a large recreational parcel in this type of Colorado backcountry setting are becoming increasingly difficult to find.
