CANYON RIMS RETREAT. A world unto itself, this 15-acre private sanctuary, sitting right off the Needles Overlook Road of Canyonlands National Park, is surrounded by hundreds of acres of BLM and private ranch property. It features 360 degrees of panoramic vistas with dramatic red slick rock outcroppings, high desert junipers, grasslands, and endless hiking and recreation opportunities along Roan Bailey Mesa that go on forever. One corner abuts the iconic focal point of Jail Rock. Because of the beautiful and variable terrain, the parcel feels twice its size! This jewel offers all the ingredients and scenery people travel from around the world to experience. Bordering public land and located near Canyon Rims Recreation Area and Anticline Overlook, the property offers an incredible sense of space, privacy, and access to public lands. The topography itself is anything but ordinary, with striking sandstone formations, elevated terrain, native desert vegetation, and sweeping birds eye views across the surrounding mesas, red rock country, and La Sal mountains. Yet this hidden getaway is easily accessed from Highway 191, mid-way between Moab and Monticello. The private parcel already has a 192 sq ft site-built Southwest structure built in 2009 with potential to construct other dwellings on the land. This is a truly one-of-a-kind. An off-grid property for someone looking for a Base Camp with solitude, recreation, adventure, and an unrivaled piece of Utah desert to call their own. With private acreage becoming increasingly difficult to find among the vast stretches of surrounding public land, this is a unique chance to own 15 acres in an unforgettable location near Canyonlands National Park.
