Escrow Leaders

I was really disappointed with how this escrow company handled my account. The agent that was assigned to my account at some point got COVID and no one else picked up my account even though we were on a very strict deadline. Because of this everything with the purchase of my new house was pushed back which caused a lot of stress and chaos. a couple of thousand dollars of an expense was added with having to move appointments around to accommodate the last minute closing date that was made. The agent did apologize and did her best to catch up on all of her work when she got back but it was a Friday and we needed to have everything done on Monday so my new lender could start processing on her end.

I was a 1st time home buyer and was needing to payoff some debt to complete my loan. I wired funds at closing. I literally just received emails my account that needed to be paid off at closing were past due. Again I think communication lacked. When I sent an email questioning why my accounts still showed a balance , I was THEN advised checks were submitted to me via Fedex. I needed to send these checks printed out for me???. Logically why would I wire money to escrow and give them the information. where it should be handled at closing....if they were going to send me checks to go pay off myself. To me that doesnt make sense. I could have paid my accounts off myself before I even closed. Now for the first time I have a late payment on my account and now assuming due to the delinquency, the amount due will not be the amount shown on the payoff checks. And I have to regular mail the checks myself,FEDEX doesnt deliver to a PO Box and obtain a stamp and probably become more delinquent . Unnecessary nightmare.

They weren’t good about calling me or emailing me back.

Valerie was very patient and helpful with all of our questions. She made the process stress-free as we were first time homebuyers and didn’t know what to expect. We hope to work with her again in the future.

OK...these ladies were great too. Candee and the crew got everything done on time as promised. They came to me when I was frustrated with finding a Notary and kept me informed about how the closing stuff was proceeding. Plus, they have kind of fun personalities..always a good thing!

Great service, very responsive to our numerous questions. There were a couple times when things were miscommunicated, like the final home warranty, and how a rent-back period was going to be handled, but overall, we were satisfied with the service we received.

They get the job done, but are not very communicative. I would have to email or call them to get clarification and answers (they usually don’t email me any info first until I ask).
