Trans-National Escrow

Marlene was terrific! So helpful throughout the whole process.

I only worked with them very briefly, but they were good.

We rushed to return the buyer package two days after escrow was opened, but Trans-National "misplaced" it for an entire week. Then they e-mailed us and CC'd the listing agent a week later asking us for the paperwork, making us look bad when in fact it was due to their incompetence. Another instance of their incompetence was when our escrow officer went ahead and alerted our lender of the new closing date without a verbal nor written agreement from us, the buyers. Escrow should not do this without written consent from both the buyers and the sellers, neither of which escrow possessed at the time. Worst of all, when our lender funded the loan 3 days early escrow failed to inform us, thereby resulting in us paying 3 extra days' worth of interest. Our escrow officer had the nerve to tell us to contact our lender if we wanted that expense refunded. We weren't even aware that our loan funded early! Overall, we're unimpressed with Trans-National's work ethic and professionalism.

The officer I worked with at Trans-National Escrow was polite and helpful. Ideally, I'd have preferred to have had more pro-active communication. I felt like I was prompting the process along. No complaints...
