My experience with Bank of America Home Loans was incredibly disappointing. Despite having several weeks to address all requirements, the bank waited until one week before closing to raise critical issues, causing unnecessary stress and delays. While I fully understand the importance of meeting all requirements and addressing health and safety concerns, the way this situation was handled was both unprofessional and frustrating. Repeated requests for information from myself, my lawyer, my agent, and the seller’s agent were either ignored or dismissed by the underwriting department, leaving us scrambling at the last moment. This lack of responsiveness and poor communication ultimately delayed my closing, an outcome that could have been easily avoided with even a minimal level of professionalism. Despite this overwhelmingly negative experience, I would like to acknowledge Richard Maggio, who was the only person throughout the entire loan process to behave professionally and demonstrate impeccable customer service. Richard’s attentiveness, courtesy, and ability to find solutions stood in stark contrast to the rest of the team’s performance. His efforts were the sole redeeming aspect of an otherwise terrible experience with Bank of America Mortgage Lending.
