With regard to customer experience—Chris Washburn and his team are at the top of their game. From preapproval through closing day, I couldn't not have asked for a smoother processes when buying my home. My first-time buyer questions never seemed silly to them. They took time to explain is what is happening at each step of the process. The online portal for applying for a mortgage as well as following the application from acceptance and approval was an added bonus. I could always see the status of my application, and what tasks were outstanding for me to complete. It helped cut down on the back and forth because everything was laid out very clearly for me. I would recommend Chris Washburn and his team without hesitation.

I can not recommend Caliber enough. They made this already stressful experience so much easier. They responded to emails very fast and broke down all the fees so I understood everything well before closing. Their interest rate was slightly higher than a competitor, but it is worth is for the quality of service I received from them. They really focused on educating me on everything and ensuring I was getting the best deal. It was a pleasure working with Chris's team.

Chris and his team pulled off a very difficult approval process with my RSU income. I applied for 11 lenders and 10 of them weren't confident about adding my RSU's as part of my income. That is when Chris came in and gave me confidence to pull off this transaction, and indeed he did make it happen. Perhaps in Washington DC area, there aren't as many companies that provide RSU's as option yet, but I will definitely be working with Chris for my future transactions.

Caliber was great. They worked late hours with us and were always ready for pre-approval letters or monthly pay estimates. The approval process is always painful and required many documents and revisions, but they helped us through the entire process and were very responsive, which I’m appreciative of. Want to thank Chris Washburn for his knowledge and collaboration. He made the process easy for us. Jeff Morelli also helped us through the process and was always willing to explain the “why” of underwriting requests.

Chris was great to work with and was very quick in his responses. After my pervious lender was going to miss the closing date, I switched to Caliber and they quickly got to work accomplishing what the other lender did in a two weeks in a single night. From then on it was smooth sailing and we even moved the closing date up one week. I would definitely recommend Chris and Caliber Home Loans if you are looking to buy a house!
