ValueGuard Home Inspections

Excellent Home Inspector! As first time home buyers, we didn't know much about what to look for in a home inspection but ValueGuard did an incredible and thorough job and explained to us what everything meant and how to best rectify the issues. I can't recommend then enough, they did an absolutely phenomenal job!

This was my 4td dealing with Value Guard. We did inspections for informational purposes only and they have been accurate on every item they identified so we were prepared and mot caught off-guard.

We worked with Robert. He was very nice and professional. The roof was not accessible due to heavy snow on the inspection day but he revisited the property two days later to check the roof and updated the report. He tested every appliance in the unit, every power outlet in each room, and so on.

Robert Reilly made a very thotough examination of the house and was great at explaining everything clearly to someone (me) who knows very little about home construction.

We scheduled a home inspection with ValueGuard. It was scheduled for 2 pm. We arrived at 2 pm and our inspector Mike Baltrush arrived early. He told us that he had gone on the roof before we got there and that it looked great and there were no issues. He said he would have the summary of everything available in the home inspection. When we went through our home inspection provided by Mike from ValueGuard, there were no pictures of the roof or any mentioning of the condition. When we asked for additional photos of the roof (because the only photos provided were ones that were taken from the street), Mike was unable to provide any additional photos. ValueGuard had to have Mike come back to inspect the roof again and Mike could not get up on the roof a two story house. He said he would have to come back another time when the weather was better. That same day, we called a roofer to come and look at the roof. He got up on the roof that day. The roof was bowed and there were missing shingles, cracked shingles and exposed nail heads. The cost to fix this was valued at $700. We are lucky that we were able to find a roofer to come out for us because ValueGuard totally dropped the ball.
