Jackie at Old Republic made sure we closed on time, and that everything was accounted for well in advance. My husband was out of state during our closing appointment, and so Jackie arranged to have all of the necessary paperwork and POA completed well before his trip. Old Republic's approach is detailed and straightforward, which makes the process so much easier for both parties. We knew exactly what we were signing, when we were signing it - plus - they provide a full dvd of the closing documents instead of a small tree's worth of paper to file. We highly valued their help with the process and would certainly work with them again.

As an escrow company, I did not see any major differences between them and other escrow companies I have used in the past. They were professional and made things easy for me as a seller as I would have expected. I signed documents at a local office (not with my main escrow officer) and found that to be convenient but sacrificing the case awareness that I would have likely got with my designated branch. Overall, a good professional escrow company to work with.

Old Republic was very good, especially the notary/agent who helped us with the signing. She was friendly and knew exactly what we needed to do on each document and explained each one quickly. We went to sign during lunch and was in and out in 15-20 mins. They have a few offices up and down the peninsula, but the only slight inconvenience was they seem to have pretty restricted hours to do the signing.

David, who was filling in for Jackie, was amazing! Our lender sort of screw up and only got the loan documents to escrow on the weekend before the Monday, 12/31, on which we absolutely had to record the transaction with the county (end of the year). Given the pressing deadline David agreed to come in on a Sunday to sign the papers with us, and this was made it possible for us to still close on time. Thanks again David! Also otherwise, the handling by ORTC was extremely professional. I strongly recommend them.
