We worked with Galen to get a home inspection done for a new property we were purchasing. He did a very thorough inspection of the home. He even did a final walked through the home with us and was very informative about what repairs and maintenance we may need to get done to extend the durability of the house. He was patient in explaining everything and answered all our questions. He was even gracious enough to explain how some of the homes services and appliances work. His inspection report gave us insight into exactly what needed to be done and how much we may need to save to keep the home updated. His demeanor and professionalism was such a stark difference to previous inspectors and inspection reports we have gotten done. He goes above and beyond for his clients! We would recommend his services!

It was our first time using a home inspector and we were so glad our Redfin agent recommended Nelson Home Inspections to us. Galen was super thorough with the inspection and was super nice and professional. He helped us understand which issues are "okay" (i.e. not a major immediate worry) and which ones are bigger concerns. The report was very thorough. I had the report less than 48 hours after the inspection was done. The report included pictures and descriptions of everything that was a concern or a potential hazard. The summary was very helpful and allowed me to navigate the rest of the report to find what I was needing.

Galen was amazing, he arrived at the home on time and was methodical about his inspection. He noted the minor details that most people would not think twice about (i.e minor carpet stain the size of a dime in the corner of a room). Once he completed his inspection he walked the entire property with us showing us all his findings and recommendations on repairs and timeline in which this repair would be critical for the home. He even pointed minor issues that a DIY weekend would resolve along with a trip to home depot for minor supplies. Overall an excellent experience and true professional. I highly recommend to any buyer in the Bay Area.
