This client did not provide a comment, so I can only go off a phone conversation. What I have learned over the past 17 years of inspecting, is that sometimes clients do not grasp what a home inspection includes, and does not include, as defined by the North Carolina Home Inspector Licensure Board (which is very clearly spelled out in the inspection contract clients sign). I’ve had a few clients wonder why I didn't point out carpet stains, bedroom closets they thought were too small, why I could not see behind siding, why I did not test the washer or dryer, etc. An NC home inspection is a very through process as defined by the State of NC. I realize there are a lot of forms required when purchasing a home, but please read everything and ask questions for clarification if needed.
