We feel fortunate that Tom was available when we needed an inspection of the Historic Annapolis home we were buying. Simply amazing. Tom was thorough and took the time to explain everything that he was inspecting/why it matters and helped us to learn our future home's ins and outs. In addition to the inspection, Tom gave pieces of advice for small things that would not show up on the inspection report but that we may eventually want to address. I would use Tom again in a heart beat and do recommend that anyone using Avocet Inspections makes an effort to be there during the inspection and to gain from his expertise!

During our home inspection Tom took the time to educate and explain how components work. This is not what I expected in a home inspector and was very pleased with his accuracy and professionalism. Our purchase was new construction and you'd think everything would be "perfect", Tom was able to identify missing components that would've been overlooked by me (who'd know that there are all these things that go into a HVAC system?). Our expectations were exceeded as Tom identified and saw things that were missing and got the finished report within the day to us to review. Tom is someone was also on time and delivered exactly what his website and other reviewers said and I highly recommend him for your next home inspection.

His completed report was in my inbox within hours of completion. Due to Tom's expertise, the home that we purchased came with a brand new roof, radon mitigation system, and sump pump. His prices are fair and he is on time. I would only use Tom for future home inspections.
