Very easy process.

What a wonderfully smooth process we were updated every step of the way. Very professional and much appreciated attitude. People like this make Customer's like me life long believers in DRHorton.

Since we were buying a home built by D.R. Horton, we were very reluctant to get our mortgage through DHI, a subsidiary of D.R. Horton. However, after meeting and talking with Adam I was very impressed with how smart, knowledgeable, and thorough he was. He was able to discuss all the potential loan options we had that fit our needs and made sure that we picked the best option for us. My original expectation of DHI as being another venue for DR Horton to make more money at our expense was completely wrong. The entire process was mostly easy and worry free, there was one instance that there was a discrepancy in our quoted mortgage insurance in one of our Good Faith Estimates (GFE), somehow the original insurance was about half of what it should be and I researched that online to confirm, and Adam was very swift and correcting the error and honoring the original insurance rate even though mortgage insurance is one the GFE items that are not restricted by the 10% increase cap. The other benefit of working with DHI is were able to get closing cost assistance from DR Horton and Adam actually showed up during our closing at title and made my wife and I custom wooden pens as presents. I would highly recommend DHI, especially Adam, for someone shopping for a mortgage.

Doug and his team at DHI Mortgage are superb. The application process was painless, fast and efficient. Doug is always there to answer questions or have alternative options to fit my needs. This is our second time using DHI for the purchase of our second DR Horton home. We have no complaints. They were able to meet the most competitive rates of the others we were looking into. Also the rebate for use of there service takes their deals over the top. Who doesn't want icing on their cake?

The loan processors were nice, however the settlement was delayed many times. We were asked for documents up to 2 hours before the set close, hence delaying again. Most of the time, it was the same documents asked for. Besides the nice processors, Marianne and Cassandra, I would not recommend DHI Mortgage.

I used DHI for the buyer bonus which at the end I got less than 10% of. Not totally their fault, but that was the only reason I used them. I would have had a better experience if they would have found a way to make it work. Not the friendliest interactions. My agent pretty much sounded irritated whenever I had questions. She created more stress then she relieved. The deal got done, so I don't have a totally negative review, but the process was not very pleasant.

Douglas was great. I had some time line concerns and Douglas was *very helpful* with navigating those. He was easy to work with and always accommodating. Additionally he was very knowledgeable about financing programs that would best suite me and be most beneficial. I will definitely recommend him to anyone I can.
