Very knowledgeable and friendly. Helped with making sure we understood the total costs, our options, and helped us to get the best rate. She also made sure that we had all the necessary requirements while still in the pre-approval phase. Many loan officers don't know or don't inform their clients and confirm all the closing costs and estimated monthly which leads to clients scrambling towards the end of escrow and potentially scrambling to find additional funds that they were not aware of.

Ariel and her Team ( Eric) from MFCU are absolutely the best. MFCU itself offers the best rate for the 5/5 ARM program for San Diego locals as it is a non-profit financial institution. This is a unique program which has less risk than 5/1 or 7/1 but you can also get a better rate compared to 30 years fixed, of cuz, the risk is higher than the fixed rate since it is ARM product and adjust once every 5 years. MFCU also offers different kind of fix rate products too. The reason for me to chose her was because I had a lot of questions while I was shopping around, she was super patience and quick to response my questions and help me even on weekend for my pre-approving letters, she always on top of the things. I had 2 failed offers but she never loses her patience on me for the extra works I created for her, her team also efficient and good at watch out for you for all information you might need in a time manner. Compared to the indpendent lenders, I prefer to use MFCU - Ariel, because they have a system and you can securely upload your info or read the msg since it is a credit union and has the bank level security for your information. In general, I had a very good experience with Ariel and her team (Eric), plus I think the program has an unbeatable advantage for a jumbo loan client who willing to take a little risk. Highly recommender Ariel, she is so nice, professional, experienced and always here to support you no matter how many questions you might have.

Many realtors and loan specialists will tell you that credit unions are not good to work with (too slow when it comes to closing). All I can say is that Ariel and Mission Fed are absolutely the opposite. Ariel was very patient with me when I first contacted her. Unlike other loan providers, she provided me a lot of information, including telling me how I can find the rate I would qualify for. She was also super-responsive to me and my realtor when it came to getting me pre-approved, and was able to close within 21 days (although I didn't need it with the house I purchased). Really appreciated her and her team's work with securing me the loan to make my home purchase. Recommend her highly.

She was great, but her associates dropped the ball somewhat towards the end.

We just closed on a purchase with Ariel and the MFCU team and everything went as smooth as it could’ve possibly gone. We met ALL contingency and close dates right on time or sooner. They were efficient, friendly and professional and all the while when my fiancé and I were out of the country for 2 weeks (half of the escrow period), they were still able to get everything done while being out of town and have all the docs ready to sign as soon as we returned. While big banks dragged their feet in waiving loan contingencies, Ariel made sure our requests were quickly channeled to the right people to grant those waivers. She was patient and caring throughout the process -- and above all, she was absolutely 100% reliable. I rarely provide personalized reviews, but our great experience with Ariel compels me to write this review. Ariel and the Mission Fed team were on top of their game during my escrow period. What started as a 30 day escrow accelerated to a 26 day escrow about halfway into the process. They were able to meet our acceleration request even with all of the end of year holidays that typically slow things down. The entire team, and Ariel especially, were very responsive to emails and phone calls.
