Fast closing and excellent service.

All the mortgage process was a breeze and everything went smoothly !

The BFSFCU team assigned to work with me has done a really good job in helping me go through the buying process with minimal interruptions. They have helped me secure a very good interest rate and have been really good in communicating the different changes in the rates on time and alerting me on how to secure the best deal for me. Although it had been a bit difficult and challenging to communicate over the phone with the team (their workload spiked on account of low interest rates, as refinancing and new buyers stormed through during the time i was trying to close my deal), i didn't feel it was material or critical to the overall closing process, as they always checked in when the situation called for their action.

Been a member of theirs for over 15 years and they are hard to beat on price and service. We shopped around for a cheaper loan but to no avail. With record low interest rates the team was doing a large number of refinancings and the stress showed. Still, excellent, competent and timely service. Couldn't be happier.

We have used the BFSCU in the past and they have provided great rates. We returned this time expecting great rates again. While we do not know if we could have recieved a better rate elsewhwere, we were very dissapointed with their services. They asked for documents after we provided them and they were late processing our loan. They were so late that the evening before our 11am closing, they wrote us to say that the closing would have to be delayed. They didn't even call us! We had made several arrangements to attend the scheduled closing and it also included coordinating with the sellers and title company. In the end, they were about 50 minutes late sending over the paperwork and hours later sending over the wire transfer. It was beyond embarrassing and uncomfortable. I know we all make mistakes but at least would have appreciated a phone call with a sincerely apology but instead we got a casual email telling us it would have to be delayed. As for the delayed wire, same thing, just an email. Something this serious warrants a phone call.

Our lender bent over backwards to ensure we had the necessary information together for our bid to be selected. BFSFCU is wonderful to work with.

Chris was a pleasure to work with. When you're working with a credit union, and especially BFSFCU, you have to accept that some things will be different. For example, they are closed on weekends and they close at 4 p.m. And especially for this reason, because the working hours are so limited, it is so extremely important to have an amazing lending agent on the other side. Chris worked so hard for us, we are forever grateful. He was very responsive throughout the day, and got us a great deal on our interest rate and removed some fees for us as well. We had specifically requested him because we'd worked with him on the previous house we'd offered and we had realized that he was a great person to work with.

Chris is efficient and very fast in responding to all my requests.

Did all that was needed on time on the financial side.
