Discovery Inspections was thorough, professional, and courteous. Our inspector, Caleb, gave us a detailed walkthrough and talked through every point on the inspection, no matter how minor. It helped us get a much better understanding of our new home and allowed us to make informed requests to the seller. The information in the report will prove valuable for many years to come as we occupy the house and perform occasional maintenance on it. We would be happy to recommend their services!

I had initially given Discovery a higher rating, but an issue with the house caused it to fail to close and I think they played a small part in that happening. It took two inspectors to notice that there was serious water intrusion in the crawlspace and that it was threatening the structural supports of the house. I wouldn't expect them to diagnose the issue completely themselves, but the inspection report had one line on the issue and did not make it seem like anywhere near as serious of an issue as it was. They also did a sewer scan of the house, but did not record it properly. Other than those issues, they were extremely courteous and helpful. They provided good warranties as well. Because of the structural issue though, I did not feel comfortable using them on the next house that I ultimately purchased.

Our inspector, Matt, was very thorough and took time to explain to us in details any issues that he found. He also reassured us that despite a few issues, that the property was in very good shape and that the small flaws should not deter us from purchasing the house. The report was prompt and complete. We would recommend Discovery Inspections without reservation.

Okay, nothing to write home about. I learned more about the home and its shortcomings through dedicated inspections of septic and fireplace/chimney sweep, and have already had to deal with and pay for multiple water leak issues in the home in the first week of ownership, neither of which was noted during the inspection. Inspection was extremely expensive compared to other quotes I got, but I decided to pay it because of a personal recommendation to this business. I spoke with Discovery Inspections' owner personally, who said he'd look deeper into his computer generated price in the context of the home specifics and get back with me as to whether or not he still felt the price was fair, and I never heard from him again. Since moving to Georgia, I am starting to think "I'll get back with you" means nothing down here, it's just something you say to break up awkward silence, and has absolutely no bearing on your future actions.

Discovery Inspections LLC were great! They sent a great inspector on very short notice. Larry was great, easy to talk to and I had a report by the end of the day! His descriptions and pictures are the best.
