We got majorly inconvenienced by what appears to be the fault of this title co. We were supposed to close on Sept 29th but I hadn't heard anything about sending my down payment so I called them. Turned out that there were issues with the sellers title and they didn't know when we'd close. I want to know why this wasn't taken care of way before the last days of escrow. I had already sold my house and was renting 30 back from the new owner but had to continue to ask if we could stay longer as we didn't have anywhere to go because of the delay on our purchase. We had already packed up the Uhaul thinking we were moving the next day only for it to end up being almost one full week longer. We slept on the hard floor since our beds were already packed up. I had called the utilities companies to turn off service the day after escrow was to close but since we still needed to stay at our old house, and luckily the new owner was very understanding and let us stay, the water got turned off, so we had no way to flush the toilets or wash our hands for the better part of that day until they could get back to turn it back on. All this was a miserable experience and in talking with others in the know it could have been avoided had the title company not waited to the last minute to clear title problems with the previous owners.
