ServiceLink Escrow

So many problems came about upon closing and the notary that Servicelink sent was horrible, very unprofessional and she forgot the HUD form. She had to come back the next day and I had to meet up with her to get a copy of the documents unsigned from the signing. Servicelink did not communicate many aspects from our agent to lender and at the end it almost ended up costing us our redfin credit. I will NOT recommend Servicelink to anyone.

I would see other Escrow companies.

They provided very good escrow service. They were vey fast!

Total disaster. They produced a stack of paper that was send with a notary to our home, we didn't get a change to look at it beforehand. Unfortunatly for the notary we read everything before we sign and this took a good portion of the day. There turned out to be many errors, many typo's and a total of about 6000$ of sellers credits that were forgotten to be incorporated in the final HUD. Other documents that we did see before, and had been corrected before, were reverted back to the faulty previous version or were empty and had to be completed again. On the other hand, after our meeting with the notary all our comments and corrections were incorportaed quickly and further signatures could all be handled over email without much trouble. Also, our loan officer and real estate agent had a hand in this too, it may be so that they have caused some of the confusion or could have prevented some of it.

Very unprofessional and dis organized company if you want to close on time "Stay Away" from this company.

Never would choose ServiceLink escrow, if I had a choice. The weakest link in the buying process. No clarity of steps..contact personnel..visibility..next steps..processes. I still do not know what the total closing activity costs (because there were estimates up until the closing process.)

There was a big rush to get the earnest money to ServiceLink. It's been over two weeks since we've pulled out of the contract (after the inspections) and we've had to contact them repeatedly (without response) to get the earnest money back. I still do not have my money back, though they contacted my husband today to get our address. They said they will overnight it via UPS, so I should receive it tomorrow. That's too long to keep my money, if you ask me.

Most of the documents that they produced had errors in them (got names wrong on my final paperwork, added an additional buyer name that didn't exist, sent the Redfin commission check to me). In addition my lender, agent and myself all had to stay on top of them to keep them on schedule. If you use ServiceLink be prepared to stay on top of them so things will get done and go through the documents they produce with a fine-tooth comb.
