Will absolutely not use Capitol Title again. Chose them due to proximity, but they unexpectedly closed their office down. Had to travel 35-40 minutes out of the city to sign paperwork. Mobile notary was offered but paperwork wasn't ready for him so that didn't happen.

We had a good experience with Capitol Title. I can’t really describe the differences between title companies though so I’m not sure I’d recommend one over another to a friend.

Although they were able to do the quick closing, they made multiple big mistakes. They forgot to include my $4400 Redfin refund in the closing and did not even call me to apologize. My Redfin agent’s sent them an email to incorporate the Redfin refund into my closing costs. They got my home address incorrect 4 times in the paperwork despite assuring me without an apology that they would correct it the first time I called them out on it. They gave me the wrong paperwork to take home (they gave me the originals with the wet signatures that they were supposed to keep) and had to retrieve the paperwork from me. I would not deal with them again and do not recommend them to anyone. Although they are nice people, they are incompetent.

A couple of hiccups with title company but nothing to serious.
