Closing itself was fine - it went well and everything was in order, clearly-communicated, and well-facilitated. The reason I am giving a 5 rating instead of a 10 was that I drove 6 hours into town to be there during the home inspection and to drop off the earnest money check. When I arrived at the MBH office, the door was locked, but the lights were on and there was no sign either indicating that they were closed or when someone might return. I found and called a 24 hour hotline but (ironically) nobody answered. I called back a couple of times and finally got someone who told me the entire office team was at an offsite meeting. I ended up waiting for more than an hour before someone showed up and there was very little in the way of empathy for the situation they had put me in. It was frustrating because we had selected MBH despite their higher price tag for the very reason that we thought we would be able to count on commensurately excellent service. I ended up making it to the inspection and all's well that ends well, but this was just a disappointing lowlight in an otherwise flawless home buying experience.
