Blissful beach cabin ready for your waterfront enjoyment! This lovingly updated and well-maintained 1925 gem is nestled in the darling Manzanita community, where many homes date back to the early 1900s. Manzanita was one of the Mosquito Fleet stops during the late 19th, early 20th centuries. Tucked along the south end of Maury Island, this peaceful waterfront village offers a relaxed island lifestyle with beach walks, boating, kayaking, wildlife watching and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the water. Settle onto the cozy front porch and take in 180-degree views stretching from Tacoma across the Sound to outer Quartermaster Harbor. The ever-changing panorama is captivating in every season—watch boats glide by, spot whales and wildlife, catch glimpses of massive ships making their way through the Sound, or watch the south-end ferry crossing to Point Defiance. Enjoy island living while remaining a convenient ferry commute from Seattle and Tacoma. A proven and very successful Airbnb, this charming retreat offers incredible flexibility as a full-time residence, recreational getaway or rental opportunity. When the weather turns chilly - enjoy the same spectacular views from the living room or second-floor primary bedroom. Charming, comfortable and wonderfully connected to the water, this special retreat invites you to slow down, breathe deeply and savor life at the beach.

RA-2.5
Rural Area Zone
The purpose of the rural zone (RA) is to provide for an area-wide long-term rural character and to minimize land use conflicts with nearby agricultural or forest production districts or mineral extraction sites. These purposes are accomplished by: Limiting residential densities and permitted uses to those that are compatible with rural character and nearby resource production districts and sites and are able to be adequately supported by rural service levels; Allowing small scale farming and forestry activities and tourism and recreation uses that can be supported by rural service levels and that are compatible with rural character; Increasing required setbacks to minimize conflicts with adjacent agriculture, forest or mineral zones; and Requiring tracts created through cluster development to be designated as permanent open space or as permanent resource use.; Use of this zone is appropriate in rural areas designated by the Comprehensive Plan as follows: RA-2.5 in rural areas where the predominant lot pattern is below five acres in size for lots established prior to the adoption of the 1994 Comprehensive Plan.
