After viewing homes and all had a due date for offers to be in I realized Amin never mentioned this option to me, nor did he think I should have an open house the weekend of the 4th. Telling me nobody goes to open houses that weekend and yet I saw many people at the ones I went to. Knowing it was my desire to get 520k when an offer came in at 500k three days after listing, he told me not to counter higher than 505 or they would walk away and I likely wouldn’t get another. During the whole process I felt a lack of communication from him, what communication I did get was all about bowing down to buyers requests and my needs and concerns as a first time seller ignored. Amin was helpful as we prepared to list our home on the market and providing a detailed overview of how the Redfin process differs from working with different agencies. Where Amin could have improved was being more communicative throughout the offer process. For example, the buyers' agent was not as responsive as we had hoped, so it would have been nice to know how/when Amin was leaning in to get our answers and make sure that the buyers were doing their due diligence in acknowledging and signing documents. I think this was a bandwidth issue as the market is so hot right now and Amin is likely managing multiple sales across the East Bay. I would work with Amin again as I do think he had our best interest in mind.
