She is very forgetful and disorganized.
She did not want to hold any Open Houses unless I insisted. Even then, she refused to run it for at least three hours, typical for our area. In both Open Houses, prospective buyers visited after she left, so we had to "run the show" in her absence!
When we asked to change the listing price, she did so. But she also extended the contract without telling us! I had to carefully read the contract to discover the extension.
She seems to be knowledgeable about real estate in general, but does not know the Morris County market very well. Her efforts to market our house were minimal, consisting of writing the listing (we re-wrote the description for her) and having photos taken.

There were times when I felt like I was pulling teeth with Darlene (when will the listing be live on the MLS, when is the photographer coming, have there been any showings). Additionally, she made a couple "off-the-cuff" comments that I didn't appreciate (she didn't think my listing price was appropriately, or that my place would sell for as much as it did).
In the end, my place sold quickly because it was well maintained, immaculately clean, and priced well.

We are first-time homebuyers, so everything was like a question mark for us. Luckily for us, Darlene stepped in and made the search for our home the easiest thing for us. She would spot areas that were a red-flag, which otherwise we wouldn't have been able to know of. She is very patient and many a times would accommodate us on short notice for a house viewing.
