Great guy, and did try to be helpful, and 90% of the time that was enough. Some tendency to smooth things over by conceding to seller as the default, but I am sure I might not have seen instances where he went to bat with the seller/various other parties for me (We have a weird two-layer condo association I ended up having to do all of the blustering with). But... that's just a rundown of pain points, and most of my interactions with Jake were positive.

This was my first time buying a home and Jake was great from start to finish. He was always available to answer questions and give advise from his experience. Always quick to make changes/update offers when we needed to. When our offer was accepted, we had three weeks to close and I realized I would be on a business trip. Jake and his team made sure we had everything ready and all concerns with HOA problems were fixed ahead of the closing. Our final walkthrough was scheduled a little early so I could attend. Jake is a good real estate agent. He is honest, wise, polite, dedicated, professional, and patient. However, when I received the inspection report, I wish if he had advised me to get a repair estimate report to use it in negotiating the price. As a first-time homeowner, I didn't know that I was supposed to do so. In addition, the inspection company that Jake recommended in this email, Donofrio & Associates LLC, missed a water damage in the basement, which might cost me up to $6000 to repair. My advise to a first-time homeowner, get your own buying agent, and after inspection, have a repair estimate report to use it in negotiating the price.

I felt that Jake did a terrific job in helping us find our condo. From the beginning, he was patient, kind, knowledgeable, and just generally professional in the way that he prepared documents and information for us but also listened to what we wanted and catered to our needs. As a first-time buyer, he was extremely helpful and even stayed late with us to walk us through the process. He offered his opinion when relevant and shared his expertise in the local markets using Redfins data which I found very helpful. Overall, I had a good experience working with Jake.
