Julia demonstrated a good attitude throughout a complex sale process at a time when rising interest rates completely changed the housing market from March to June/2022. Julia is nice, professional, and courteous. However, my disappointment with her is that she has the mindset that she knows more than the client. That her methodologies and procedures are best. I gave her that trust and tried to do things her way and she almost cost me $200,000 in lost income on the sale of my home. She initially wanted to list it for $950k which we did and thankfully the home didn't get any offers. We increased the price based on what she made me think my home was worth to $975 and went pending at $1 million. The deal fell apart because it was a weak offer with the buyer not having to wire the earnest money for 5 days and putting a ridiculous pass/fail inspection contingency that she made sound like a good thing. My review is not so much about Julia as it is about RedFin. The model used by RedFin primarily works in a hot housing market because RedFin is a technology company that happens to sell homes. They lack the EQ needed to promote, market, support sellers through the process.

I would definitely recommend Julia to others. This was our first house sale and we didn't know what to expect. Despite Julia's experience and confidence we weren't sure at first how much we could trust her advice and recommendations. We were nervous about listing too late in the summer, getting the asking price right, and whether an attic mold issue that had to be remediated at the time we listed really wouldn't scare off all potential buyers as Julia suggested. Luckily we managed to stand firm on our asking price and managed to save $30K at the end. We highly recommend sellers to do their homework and represent yourself. Do not entertain listing below market price to entice more buyers, it brings more traffic during open houses but doesn't help in bringing right set of buyers that are ready to pay the market price.
