One thing I really liked about working with Kenny is that he would listen to me. Initially I thought he was more concerned on selling quickly, despite the sale price, but eventually we got in sync and he did every effort to get me closer to my asking price. An exceptional kudos to him and his team in helping me when an area of the siding needed to be replaced as part of the sales agreement and I couldn't be there. He showed up in my house to oversee the contractors and even when he had to leave he coordinated another of his associates to be there. That was extremely helpful and super appreciated. Kenny is well versed and helped me sold my home with the support of his fantastic Redfin team. However a couple of things left to be desired: 1) No market comparison/analysis provide at all. This is probably the biggest concern I had with using Redfin when all is said and done. 2) The price recommended to me was 50K lower than what I priced myself and eventually sold above asking. That said, the photos by Refin are fantastic. The marketing push through redfin generated a lot of traffic and exposure. We found all the accolades in these reviews to be absolutely true; Kenny is a top-notch agent and Redfin represents the best in the business. Our experience with Redfin and Kenny as agent was awesome. Kenny really worked odd, long hours to answer our questions, concerns and did a solid job in terms of communication with potential buyers. His advice on our initial offering price was right on the mark, and we ended up getting top dollar on our house sale due to many of advice he gave on how we should approach this whole house selling business. Final offer price we got was better than our expectations, and Kenny deserves a lot of credit for that.

From the moment Kenny knocked on my door at our appointed time of 1:00, the process could not have gone smoother. I enlisted Kenny on a Tuesday, by Friday afternoon my house was listed on MLS complete with 3D tour, pictures, fliers, sign post and a lock box. All ready to go for the first open house that Saturday. Kenny guided me through the competitive offers and escalator clauses with confidence and professionalism. The house sold within 48 hours well above asking price! I could not be happier! Kenny and his team were courteous, professional and kind. All for a 1.5% commission! A job well done! Unfortunately, Kenny didn't provide us with a comparative market analysis. When we asked him for advice on the listing price, he threw out a number that was $50K below where most houses were listing at in our area. Luckily, we knew enough about the market (from information other agents we interviewed had provided us with) that we ended up listing higher than what Kenny recommended but still about $25K below where we should have listed at. Being a first time home seller, we didn't perform a thorough enough market analysis on our own. An agents main job is to help the client with a comparative market analysis and a fair listing price. I'm not sure why Kenny didn't help us with this.

Pricing a home, particularly in an appreciating market, is both science and art. In current market conditions with low inventory, many neighborhoods have few comparable sales. While I’m very familiar with this home’s neighborhood and the surrounding areas, it can be difficult to recommend a price without first seeing the home. I apologize that I did not make this clear at our initial consultation. Additionally, while market statistics are a significant factor in pricing, so is the seller’s preferred approach in terms of strategy. In this case, we discussed expectations for net proceeds and arrived at a pricing approach that allowed us to meet the seller’s goals. Ultimately, upon closing, this home’s sales price was the highest in the neighborhood. However, it’s my responsibility as an agent to effectively communicate the data and my recommendations and it’s clear that I fell short in this case. Moving forward, I’ll be adjusting my approach to explain the information available, my recommendations, and confirm that it aligns with the seller’s goals. 5.0

Mr. Whiteside handled the sale of our estate home like an absolute pro. I was impressed at how he managed all phases of the transaction and would absolutely recommend him to my friends. While it is always difficult to tell how much an agent contributes to the transaction price, Mr. Whiteside's efforts contributed substantially to raising the selling price by 5%-10% over what Zillow and other agents suggested. If you are considering a broker, I don't think you will do better than Kenny.

Listing with Redfin and Kenny was a first for us and different. We were used to old school realtors and how things were done. There were things we were surprised about that we did on our own but looking back that actually was a plus. As we got closer to closing there were at times we were kind of in the dark about how things were progressing and we thought Kenny's team was to keep us informed...however Kenny ended up picking up the ball and getting everything communicated across all parties and got things moving after some phone calls. He really earned the sale in the end. We would recommend him to anyone and everyone. Also the biggest thing about him...he listens.

Honestly i was a little apprehensive when choosing Redfin; i wasn't sure that it was really going to be a full service agency. My fears were quickly smothered in a complete blanket of attention and customer service; Kenny , Julia, and Laurie (and probably others behind the scenes) made it easy to understand the next steps and what to expect at every turn. The home had a bunch of features that we had installed over the years and they created "silent talkers" to call these out and help get multiple offers. At the end of the day we got significantly more than asking, all cash offer that closed in two weeks. Couldn't have been a better experience plus we saved thousands by listing with Redfin.

If you are looking for somebody to hold your hand through the process, I don't think Kenny is your man. My situation might have been different, but I had to contact him about the selling process, why haven't I heard from the title company when my house closes is four days; shouldn't I have signed papers already? I had to call the title company and have them overnight me the paperwork so the house closed on time.
While Kenny was my agent, I dealt mostly with his office staff. Julia was wonderful to work with and answered all my questions very quickly and was always there to help.

I feel both Kenny and Julia Buckley (listing coordinator) did a good job helping me sell my house. From our first (and only) face-to-face meeting at the house where Kenny pointed out things to improve before putting it on the market, the weekly e-mails with Julia to arrange and get summaries from open houses, the quick calls with Kenny when offers were made, through all the signings done electronically to list the house, accept an offer and close the sale (except for the final paperwork that had to be signed at the escrow office).
