Marco gave us a list of things his organization would do to help sell the condo - and it all happened. His team kept in touch with me almost daily either through direct emails with tasks or through updates from the website. I particularly appreciated that Marco didn't try to oversell my 1972 condo. He understood the local market and my personal reasons for the sale. When I had a death in the family on the same day as the offer came in, he stepped in with the buyer and helped me manage the needs of the sale while I worked through the death of my sister. He took so much of the stress of selling out of the process that I will be using him and his organization for the sale of additional property. Marco did not communicate the important things. Seemed he was the buyers’ agent or just wanted to make the sale. Him not communicating that the buyers’ agent wanted 3% instead of the 2.5% we agreed on, cost us $4000. He also agreed to us paying the HOA transfer fees and stated to me when I asked why we had to pay for the buyers HOA transfer, it was a state mandate, which is not when the HOA regulations state it is the Buyer who pays. Another $500. My fault I did not read the contract clearly and trusted Marco would look out for us as he was supposed to be our realtor.

Three weeks prior to close I expressed to my agent we wanted certain information about the house but did not receive it until after close and we were trying to move in. I understand we were at the mercy of the sellers but it would have been nice to see my agent request the information before we closed escrow. We had didn't have any gate codes or access to our community making it very difficult to move.

To be honest I don’t know if it was Marco or the Redfin business model. At this point there were several other people assisting and it was very confusing. The level of service and follow through dropped of drastically. I give Redfin a 9 for the price but a 6 for customer service.
